June Book Release Events

Out in June!

You are invited! We are celebrating the release of Miraflores: San Antonio’s Mexican Garden of Memory.

Aureliano Urrutia, who became a prominent physician in la Ciudad de México and San Antonio, created Miraflores after immigrating to Texas during the Mexican Revolution. Its plants, architecture, sculpture, and artisanship formed a cultural landscape reflecting Urrutia’s love for and memory of his homeland. Out this month from Trinity University Press, Miraflores tells the story of this disappearing garden’s significance.
